The design process from customer sketches to final furniture drawings
This is a typical complete implementation process from a client's hand-drawn sketch to a professional furniture floor plan. Although the client's sketch is sketchy, it clearly conveys the core requirements: the upper part is an office area with dimensions of 164×128, requiring two office desks, while the lower part is a conference area with dimensions of 164×147, requiring a conference table and matching chairs. At the same time, key spatial dimensions and approximate placement directions of furniture are marked, laying the foundation for the entire plan. The design process is to transform these vague concepts and numbers into a set of professional drawings that are ergonomic and can be directly implemented.
In the office area, we have retained the layout logic of double workstations arranged side by side as shown in the client's sketch, while supplementing with standardized detailed dimensions. The depth of the desk is set at 72 centimeters, with each workstation having a width of 64 centimeters. A 26-centimeter passage space is reserved in the middle, and a 40-centimeter activity area is also set aside at the back, ensuring smooth chair pulling and personnel access. The positions of the office chairs are also clearly indicated with line drawings, fully demonstrating the occupied space and circulation of the furniture.
The conference area follows the layout of a centrally placed conference table surrounded by seating as depicted in the sketch. The conference table is sized at 80×40 centimeters and is paired with six chairs, clearly presenting the enclosed format for a seven-person meeting. At the same time, it ensures that there is still ample activity space around the chairs when they are pulled out. All dimensions are strictly aligned with the total space dimensions indicated by the client to ensure that the plan perfectly matches the actual site.
The entire process essentially translates the client's idea of "placing two desks and a conference table in the space" into a precise, standardized, and executable design language. This allows the client to intuitively see the arrangement of furniture and the usage effect of the space, and also provides a clear basis for subsequent procurement and construction.

Furniture manufacturing and installation
During the manufacturing stage in the factory, firstly, plates, steel materials, and hardware accessories are selected according to the design drawings. For example, environmentally friendly plates are used for countertops and side cabinets, while cold-rolled steel is used for table legs and supporting structures. Then, the cutting process begins, where CNC equipment is used to cut the plates into components such as countertops, cabinets, and side panels. The steel materials are cut and welded into the frame of the table legs. Next, the edges of the plates are sealed and veneered. The edges are made seamless by a fully automatic edge banding machine, and the curvature of the tabletop and the shape of the side cabinets are milled according to the design. At the same time, installation holes for three-in-one connectors, slide rails, and wire holes are drilled on the plates.
Afterwards, surface treatment is carried out, where the wooden parts undergo sanding, primer coating, and topcoat painting, while the metal parts undergo grinding, powder coating, or baking paint to ensure texture and durability. Finally, trial assembly is completed in the factory to check structural stability, hardware smoothness, and dimensional accuracy. After confirmation, the assembly is disassembled, and the components are packed with corner protectors, foam, and cardboard boxes for transportation.
During the on-site installation phase, workers will first clean the site and assemble in order: first, the panels of the side cabinets are assembled and fixed using three-in-one connectors. Next, the table legs and supporting structures are installed. Then, the tabletop is connected to the table legs and side cabinets through hardware fittings, and the levelness is adjusted to ensure that the tabletop is stable and does not wobble. After that, the drawer slides, cabinet door hinges, and locks are installed, and the smoothness of opening and closing is checked. Finally, the installation traces are cleaned up, and the firmness of all components is checked, completing the entire process.
